Toyota Yaris Cross
- The Toyota Yaris Cross is a mix of two things that the Japanese manufacturer does well – small hybrid cars and SUVs – so in theory it should be good. At first glance, with its compact size, ability to run solely on electric power at low speeds and optional four-wheel drive, it does indeed look as though it lives up to the ‘authentic urban adventurer’ tag that Toyota’s marketers have attributed to it.
Toyota Yaris Cross Generations
- The newly developed "GA-B Platform" based on the "Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA)" is adopted. The newly developed platform has achieved a significant evolution from the previous model by reducing weight by 50 kg (development target), lowering the center of gravity by 15 mm, and increasing body rigidity by more than 30%. Overall length, width, and height are 3,940 mm, 1,695 mm, and 1,500 mm, respectively, and the wheelbase is 2,550 mm, making it a 5-number car. The hybrid system employs the new generation "M15A type in-line 3-cylinder 1.5L direct injection Dynamic Force engine" and the new, downsized THS II. It achieves a fuel economy of 36.0km/L in WLTC mode, the world's top level in its class.
