Car Shop Weed made a strong impression at the recent Osaka Auto Messe by unveiling its latest customized creation, the “WARLOCK” Toyota Hiace. Known for its work on Toyota’s large SUVs, the company has now turned its attention to the popular Hiace, transforming it into a van with the bold presence of a serious off-road machine.
The WARLOCK Hiace was designed to capture the spirit of a 4WD vehicle, blending the practicality of the Hiace with the aggressive styling cues of a rugged adventure model. At the heart of the transformation is a large hexagonal grille inspired by the design language of the Toyota Tacoma, giving the front end a much tougher and more commanding look.
According to a representative from Car Shop Weed, the goal was to apply the company’s deep experience with four-wheel-drive vehicles to create a Hiace that looks ready for rough terrain. That concept is reflected throughout the vehicle’s redesigned exterior.
The front section features a heavily styled bumper, while black overfenders add to its muscular, off-road character. The build also includes side graphics and a roof rack, both of which enhance its outdoor-ready image and contribute to its adventurous appeal.
The Hiace WARLOCK quickly became one of the eye-catching vehicles at the show, with visitors drawn to its unique mix of van practicality and off-road attitude. Its rugged makeover has sparked interest among enthusiasts who appreciate custom vehicles that break away from traditional styling.
With its expected release planned for summer 2024, the WARLOCK Hiace is already generating anticipation. The project stands as another example of Car Shop Weed’s commitment to creative customization and its ability to give familiar vehicles an entirely new identity.
