Nissan has officially pulled the curtains back on its latest addition to the NISMO road car series, introducing the formidable Aria NISMO. This powerhouse SUV, slated for release in June 2024, is set to redefine the electric vehicle (EV) landscape with its fusion of style and electrifying performance.

Pioneering the concept of a crossover between style and electric shock, the Aria NISMO boasts a meticulously crafted interior and exterior, complemented by NISMO’s signature special tuning. Anchored by the electric drive 4-wheel control system known as “e-4ORCE,” this SUV promises unparalleled acceleration, suspension, and handling prowess.

Positioned as the pinnacle of Nissan’s electric vehicle lineup, the Aria NISMO takes its place as the e-NISMO Flagship Crossover. However, its adoption of a large-capacity battery does pose a weight concern, tipping the scales at a substantial 2220kg, nearly 500kg heavier than its gasoline-powered NISMO counterparts.

Despite its heft, the Aria NISMO flexes its muscles with a maximum torque output of 600Nm for the B9 model, rivaling the Skyline NISMO and even the legendary GT-R NISMO. Leveraging the inherent advantages of BEVs, this SUV delivers impressive performance from a standstill, promising a thrilling yet safe driving experience.

The Aria NISMO’s aerodynamic prowess is evident in its meticulously crafted chassis and aero technology, ensuring optimal ground contact and traction. Specially designed aero parts and wheels enhance downforce without compromising on drag, resulting in lap times at the technical Tsukuba circuit that rival the Skyline NISMO.

Inside the cabin, drivers are treated to a “feel-good” driving experience, with specially developed tires and suspension offering nimble handling and supple vehicle behavior. The optional NISMO exclusive BOSE premium sound system, coupled with the EV sound production of Formula E cars in NISMO mode, delivers an auditory delight.

Moreover, the Aria NISMO ups the ante with its enhanced power output, achieving a 41ps increase in maximum output. Specially tuned motors ensure linear acceleration even at high speeds, while the sports seats provide unparalleled comfort and unity with the vehicle.

Scheduled for release in June 2024, the Aria NISMO will be available in two models: the “NISMO B6 e-4ORCE” with a 66kWh battery, priced at 8,429,300 yen, and the “NISMO B9 e-4ORCE” with a 91kWh battery, priced at 9,441,300 yen (including consumption tax). With its groundbreaking features and formidable performance, the Aria NISMO is poised to set a new benchmark in the world of super sports SUVs.
