Replacing the SUZUKI Spark plug (V9110-5353) is essential for maintaining optimal engine performance and efficiency. Fresh spark plugs ensure effective combustion, leading to improved power, better fuel economy, and reduced emissions. They also prevent engine misfires, contributing to a smoother ride and extending the life of your vehicle. Regular replacement is a cost-effective maintenance task that helps avoid more significant engine issues down the line, ensuring a reliable and enjoyable driving experience.

Repair Guide Step 1

SUZUKI Spark plug replacement

Start by ensuring your engine is cool to avoid burns or injuries. Open the vehicle’s hood and locate the air cleaner case. You’ll need to partially disassemble this to access the spark plugs.

Remove the Round Duct

Loosen the screw securing the round duct attached to the top of the air cleaner case. Once loosened, detach the duct and let it rest on the air cleaner case.

Detach Rubber Duct Pins

Find the two rubber duct pins at the bottom of the air cleaner case. Carefully remove these pins to proceed with dismantling.

Unfasten the Air Cleaner Case

Remove the two fasteners on the top of the air cleaner case. Keep the hose on the right side attached, and shift this assembly to the right side to create space.

Repair Guide Step 2

Remove the Bottom of the Air Cleaner Case

To detach the bottom part of the air cleaner case, remove the two screws securing it. Don’t forget the additional screws at the back! Once all screws are removed, pull the bottom section upwards.

Access and Remove Ignition Coils

Identify the ignition coils, secured by screws in three locations. Remove these screws to release the ignition coils.

Disconnect Couplers

Next, disconnect the couplers linked to each ignition coil. There are three couplers in total, one for each ignition coil.

Remove Ignition Coils

Carefully remove all three ignition coils to expose the spark plugs beneath them.

Replace Spark Plugs

Using a wrench or spark plug socket, unscrew and remove each old spark plug. Replace them with new spark plugs, ensuring they are securely installed. Refer to your vehicle’s manual for proper torque specifications.

Inspect Old vs. New Spark Plugs

Before disposing of the old spark plugs, compare them with the new ones. The old spark plugs (DENSO ZXU22HPR8) showed slight wear on their tips, indicating it was time for a replacement.

Clean and Reassemble

Inspect the air cleaner case for debris and clean it if necessary. Reassemble all components in reverse order, ensuring each part is securely fastened.

 Conclusion

Regularly replacing the spark plugs in your Suzuki (V9110-5353) is essential for maintaining optimal performance, fuel efficiency, and overall engine health. By prioritizing this simple maintenance task, you can ensure a smoother, more efficient driving experience while prolonging the life of your vehicle.
