On May 20, Porsche announced that the first special model of the sports EV “”TYCAN”” will be the “”GTS Hockenheim Edition”” in Europe.

◆Exclusive Stone Gray body color and 21-inch “”Mission E”” wheels
The car celebrates the 90th anniversary of the Hockenheimring in Germany. The Hockenheimring, located in the southwestern part of Germany, is also known as the stage of the F1 German Grand Prix.

The exclusive Stone Gray body color is the result of a custom color program. Underfoot, the car is complemented by 21-inch “”Mission E”” design wheels. The wheel centers were painted in satin-finished Bronzite, while the surrounding area was finished in the same Stone Gray high-gloss finish as the body color. To match the wheel centers, the hubcaps were painted in Bronzite with a colored “”Porsche Crest””. The brake calipers are painted in gloss black.

The B-pillars are decorated with the 90th anniversary logo. The “”Hockenheimring Edition”” lettering is finished in Stone Gray.

The exterior design concept was carried over to the interior. Island Green decorative stitching contrasts with the black leather interior. This color scheme is said to be a first for the Taikan.

Pardao open-pore wood trim is used. The selector lever, cup holders, and air vents above the center console, as well as the driver’s and passenger side air vents, are painted Bronzeite. The GT Multifunction Sport Steering Wheel is upgraded with Bronzite trim, decorative stitching, and island green markings at the 12 o’clock position. The floor mats are finished with leather inlays and island green stitching.

The lid of the center console storage compartment was engraved with the Hockenheimring commemorative logo. Black brushed aluminum door sill guards feature the Taycan GTS logo. Door projectors display the commemorative logo underfoot.

◆Taikan’s first cruising range of over 500km on a single charge
The base vehicle is the “”Taikan GTS””. When using launch control, the motor produces 598 hp at overboost, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 250 km/h. Yet, it cruises on a single charge. Yet, it has a maximum range of 504 km (WLTP cycle) on a single charge. According to Porsche, it will be the first Taikan to break the 500 km range barrier.

The adaptive air suspension, including “”Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM),”” has been tuned specifically to enhance lateral dynamics. Rear axle steering is available as an option, and the setup is said to be even sportier. The “”Porsche Electric Sport Sound”” has an even richer sound pattern.

The exterior is finished in black or dark color, including the exclusive front bumper, door mirror bases and side window trim. The interior features a black anodized “”Brushed Aluminum Interior Package”” with black “”Race-Tex”” as standard equipment.”

The latest information on the next model of Porsche’s Panamera sports sedan (4-door coupe) has been caught by Spyder7, a scoop site, and we wonder how it will be differentiated from the 4-door Panamera EV. We take a closer look at the interior of the Panamera, along with photos of the car’s interior that we captured.

The first thing one notices when looking at the interior of the prototype vehicle is the absence of a shift lever. 　In addition, there are some caveats: there is a monthly mileage limit, and the vehicle must be returned or remortgaged and settled in cash at the end of the contract period.

　However, with a residual value set loan, you can manage to get a Toyota Harrier HYBRID G (4 million yen), which has a relatively high residual value ratio of 55% after three years, with monthly payments of about 61,000 yen on a three-year loan.

　And with a five-year loan under the same conditions, a higher grade of the Alphard, for example, could also be considered.

　The residual value of the Alphard’s HYBRID SR “”C”” package (5,720,000 yen) is about 55%, but with a 5-year loan, the monthly payment would be about 52,000 yen.

　With this amount, even with expensive options, the monthly payment can be kept within a reasonable range.

On April 14, Porsche announced global EV sales results for the first quarter of 2022 (January-March). Total sales were 9,470 units. Compared to the same period last year, sales were up 4.4%.

The 9470 unit sales figure is the total of the “”Taikan”” and “”Taikan Cross Turismo. The Taikan Cross Turismo is a derivative of the Taikan and is a crossover EV with an emphasis on off-road taste.

The Taikan Sport Turismo was also added to the lineup. This vehicle is based on the Taikan Crossturimo. The off-road-oriented parts have been removed to emphasize the on-road orientation. The 9,470 units sold by the Taikan series exceeded the 9,327 sold by the 911 series, Porsche’s flagship sports car.
