The 9470 unit sales figure is the total of the “”Taikan”” and “”Taikan Cross Turismo. The Taikan Cross Turismo is a derivative of the Taikan and is a crossover EV with an emphasis on off-road taste.
The Taikan Sport Turismo was also added to the lineup. This vehicle is based on the Taikan Crossturimo. The off-road-oriented parts have been removed to emphasize the on-road orientation. The 9,470 units sold by the Taikan series exceeded the 9,327 sold by the 911 series, Porsche’s flagship sports car.
Porsche is currently developing the upcoming Macan, a full EV, as the first Porsche built on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE). The car is expected to debut in 2023.
