On June 23, Toyota Motor Corporation notified the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of a recall of its Toyota bZ4X and Subaru Solterra models due to the risk of tires falling off the tires, and asked users to stop using the vehicles for the time being. The affected 204 vehicles were manufactured between March 2 and June 2, 2022.
The defective part is the hub bolt that attaches the tire. The bolt may loosen due to repetitive sudden turns or braking. If the vehicle continues to be driven in this condition, an abnormal noise may be heard, and in the worst case, the tire may fall off.
As a remedial measure, all vehicles will be asked to cease use for the time being, and permanent countermeasures will be implemented as soon as they are determined.

Subaru Levorg models subject to improvement
On May 26, Subaru filed a recall (recall and free repair) of the Levorg and three other models with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism due to a defect in the EGR pressure sensor.
The affected models are the Levorg, Forester, and Legacy, with 52,838 units manufactured between October 21, 2020 and April 6, 2022.
The EGR pressure sensor installed in the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system may not have sufficient resistance to exhaust gas.
As a remedial measure, all vehicles will have the EGR pressure sensor replaced with a countermeasure and the control program of the engine control unit rewritten.
The defects have been reported in 549 cases and no accidents have occurred. The recall was reported based on information from the market.
