    On July 19, the European division of Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) announced the sales results of Toyota brand electric vehicles (hybrids, PHVs, etc.) in the European market for the first half of 2022 (January to June). Total sales reached a record high of 363,962 units. Compared to the same period last year, sales were up 11%, achieving double-digit growth.

    Among PHVs, the RAV4 sold 12,939 units. The Mirai fuel cell vehicle sold 299 units.

    Toyota sold a record 579,698 Toyota-branded hybrid vehicles in the European market in 2021. This is a double-digit increase of 19% over the previous year.”
