BMW enthusiasts, get ready to indulge in luxury with the latest addition to the BMW lineup – the “Edition Shadow” special edition model. Embodying exquisite style and fearless black, this new variant is set to elevate driving experiences to unprecedented levels.

Available for the BMW 3 Series, BMW 3 Series Touring, and BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe, the Edition Shadow was officially launched on February 14, 2024. With sales commencing on the same day, BMW aficionados can now immerse themselves in the allure of this remarkable offering.

This unveiling comes amidst the anticipation surrounding BMW’s flagship model, the 5 Series. Having debuted in 1972, the 5 Series has consistently defined the upper-medium size segment, serving as a cornerstone of BMW’s illustrious lineup.

The latest iteration of the 5 Series marks a significant milestone, boasting a full model change after six years and heralding the arrival of its 8th generation (G60 type). Initially announced as a sedan in July 2023, the new 5 Series showcases a blend of timeless design elements with cutting-edge innovations.

Among its standout features is the introduction of the i5, marking BMW’s foray into the realm of electric vehicles within the 5 Series lineup. The i5 seamlessly integrates plug-in hybrid and mild hybrid technologies to deliver an electrifying driving experience.

In terms of dimensions, the new 5 Series commands attention with a length of 5,060 mm, width of 1,900 mm, and height ranging from 1,505 to 1,515 mm. Notably, the sedan and touring variants share a wheelbase of 2,995 mm, with the overall length and width seeing significant increases compared to its predecessor.

Externally, the 5 Series captivates with modern reinterpretations of its signature features, including distinctive headlights and a commanding kidney grille. The sleek profile is accentuated by dynamic character lines and blacked-out side skirts, exuding a sense of athleticism and sophistication.

Step inside, and you’re greeted by a revolution in interior design. Embracing sustainability, BMW presents its first entirely vegan interior, utilizing alternative materials for seats, instrument panels, and even the steering wheel. Adding to its versatility, the 5-door station 5 Series Touring (G61) joins the lineup, offering ample cargo space and the option for an electric variant – the i5 Touring, a first-of-its-kind EV touring model from BMW.

Under the hood, a range of powertrains awaits, catering to diverse preferences. From the 2.0L 4-cylinder diesel turbo engine model to the high-performance i5 Touring M60 xDrive, boasting a remarkable acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds.

Pricing for the new 5 Series Touring starts at 8.9 million yen and goes up to 16 million yen, with all models available exclusively in right-hand drive configuration.
