　This is a mechanism that is also incorporated in the Civic e:HEV, which was introduced earlier, but it has nothing to do with efficiency and is intended to enhance drivability.

　When the car is set to “”Sport,”” a driving mode exclusive to the RS, the accelerator pedal becomes more responsive, and the shifting control has been modified to emphasize the sense of shifting gears more.
