Toyota Motor Corporation has added a special edition version of its C-HR compact SUV, the “”Mode-Nero Safety Plus III,”” which goes on sale August 29.

The special edition model is based on the “”G”” and “”G-T”” grades and comes with a special body color, “”Inazuma Sparking Black Glass Flake. It is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels painted in matte black with dark smoke plated nuts and Bi-Beam LED headlamps with black extensions.

The interior features exclusive seat upholstery with brown inserts and beige stitching. Other special features include a panoramic view monitor and parking support brake (for vehicles approaching from the rear or stationary objects).

Prices range from 2,725,000 to 3,055,000 yen.”

Special “”C-HR “”Mode-Nero Safety Plus III”” with a shibu body color is here! What features does it have?

　There are two types of special edition models that have been added to the lineup: the “”G “”Mode-Nero Safety PlusIII”” and “”G-T “”Mode-Nero Safety PlusIII The “”G””-T “”Mode-Nero Safety PlusIII”” is a cool style with a black base.

　The “”Nero”” in “”Mode-Nero”” means “”black”” in Italian.

　Each is based on the standard “”G”” and “”G-T”” models, with the “”Inazuma Sparkling Black Glass Flake”” body color as an exclusive feature, expressing a cool personality that stands out in urban areas.

　The front section features “”Bi-Beam LED headlamps”” with black extension decorations, and 18-inch aluminum wheels with matte black paint and dark smoke plated nuts for the feet.

　On the safety front, a “”panoramic view monitor”” helps the driver to confirm the safety of his or her surroundings at parking lots and intersections.

The styling of the new model is the most noteworthy aspect of the car. The C-HR has made its presence felt as a compact crossover SUV that resembles a coupe, and this concept is expected to be carried on. The design hints can be found in the 16 concept cars that President Akio Toyoda unveiled at Toyota’s “”Briefing Session on Battery EVs”” held in December 2021, and which became a topic of conversation.

The “”bZ Compact SUV”” exhibited there is said to have a high possibility of becoming the basis for the next C-HR. In fact, considering the timing of its debut, the design should have been completed by December, and it could be said that the bZ Compact SUV was a show car-style redesign of the next-generation C-HR.

Improved Toyota “”C-HR”” in Indonesia

　The C-HR is currently available in Indonesia as a hybrid-only SUV, but the latest improvements include the addition of the Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) safety equipment.

　Toyota Safety Sense, which enhances preventive safety features, consists of Collision Damage Mitigation Braking, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), and Automatic High Beam (AHB).

　The system is capable of detecting vehicles up to 120 meters ahead in a speed range of 180 km/h from a standstill.

　Other safety features include Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Blind Spot Monitor (BSM).

　On the interior, comfort has been improved with the addition of entertainment functions compatible with smartphone linkage, a nanoe function, and new sun visors with mirrors and lights.

　It will also be compatible with the T Intouch telematics service, which offers “”Find My Car,”” “”Stolen Vehicle Tracking,”” and “”Emergency Road Assistance.

　The improved C-HR in Indonesia will be available in mono grades and will be priced at 582,270 rupiah (approximately 5.12 million yen).”
