The new Toyota Prius finally cheap

Is the new Toyota “Prius” finally “cheap”? Or is it “expensive”? Users’ Reactions to the Price Starting at 2.75 Million Yen
New 5th-generation “Prius” to go on sale, starting at 2.75 million yen
On January 10, 2023, Toyota launched the fifth generation of its new hybrid car, the Prius. The hybrid model will be the first to go on sale, and the PHEV model is scheduled to go on sale this spring.Three “traffic light colors” available? Check out the “sporty” new Prius in a variety of colors in these photos! Finally on sale! How much will the new Prius cost?

The Prius is one of Toyota’s main models and has been a pioneer of hybrid cars since the first generation was introduced in 1997.The fully remodeled fifth-generation Prius is based on the concept of “”Hybrid Reborn,”” and was developed with the aim of creating a car that combines “”a design that makes you fall in love at first sight” and “a driving experience that makes you fall in love with it.The iconic “”mono-form silhouette”” of the Prius was retained, while a lower center of gravity and larger-diameter wheels were adopted. The interior also pursues driving enjoyment, and unlike the previous Prius model, it has been transformed into a sporty car.The powertrains include a hybrid with a choice of a 2-liter or 1.8-liter engine, and a PHEV model scheduled for launch this spring.

The hybrid model was launched ahead of the other two models. In addition to the top-of-the-line “”Z”” model and the standard “”G”” model, four grades are available, including the “”U”” grade exclusively for the “”KINTO”” subscription service and the basic “”X”” grade for corporate customers.Prices (including consumption tax) range from 2,750,000 yen to 3,920,000 yen, with the KINTO-exclusive U grade starting at 16,610 yen per month. The new Prius has been the subject of a flurry of comments on social networking sites in response to the announced price. The new Prius model can be purchased for around 2.7 to 3.5 million yen, which is surprisingly inexpensive,”” “”The price is low,”” “”The low cost is a strong motivator to purchase,”It’s pretty cheap! I thought it would be more expensive since it looked quite luxurious,”” etc. Many of the comments were positive about the price setting.

It seems that many users expected a significant price increase due to the enhanced driving and design aspects, as well as improved safety equipment and overall quality.
As for KINTO, one user commented, “”KINTO for Prius, isn’t it cheaper if you just look at the lowest price?”” Some people seem to be attracted to the fact that they can drive the latest Prius for only 16,000 yen, including maintenance costs such as vehicle inspection and insurance.

On the other hand, “”If I were to buy a new Prius, my choice would be the 1.8-liter X grade. After all, no matter which one you buy, the delivery date will be late, and there is too much of a price difference with the 2-liter G grade,”” and “”It actually starts at 3.2 million yen. Some users were concerned about the price difference between the grades and the high price compared to the same grade of the previous generation model.Since its world premiere on November 16, 2022, the new Prius has been the talk of the town for some time, but the price of the PHEV model has not yet been announced.Expectations are only increasing as to how the new Prius will be accepted by users in the future.

Hondas Electrifying 2024 Roadmap Unveiling 3 Zero-Emission Marvels to Supercharge Sales

On January 18, 2024, Honda’s American subsidiary made a significant announcement about the company’s four-wheel vehicle business in the United States for the fiscal year. Among the revelations was the upcoming release of the “super amazing CR-V FCEV,” a novel fuel-powered sporty SUV set to hit the US market later in 2024.

Mamadou Diallo, Senior Vice President of Sales for Honda in the United States, shared insights into the company’s performance, stating, “In 2023, sales for both the Honda and Acura brands rebounded, concluding the year with a remarkable 30% increase. Looking ahead to 2024, we are focusing on capital investment in hybrid vehicles and other products, including the launch of our first mass-produced battery electric vehicle (BEV).

As part of Honda’s strategic approach, the company aims to boost sales of zero-emission vehicles, such as battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and fuel cell vehicles (FCEVs). Diallo emphasized their commitment to this goal and revealed plans to introduce the CR-V FCEV, a new addition to the Honda lineup. The CR-V, a popular midsize crossover SUV, has been a global success since its inception in 1995, and the latest 6th generation model, introduced in 2022, has further expanded its appeal.

The CR-V FCEV, based on the current 6th generation model, stands out as the first mass-produced vehicle in North America to seamlessly integrate plug-in functionality and FCEV technology. Honda aims to capitalize on the success of its hybrid models, including the “e:HEV” variant, which became the best-selling hybrid vehicle in the United States with annual sales reaching 197,317 units by 2023.

In addition to the CR-V FCEV, Honda’s US subsidiary plans to launch Acura’s electric SUV, the “ZDX,” in early 2024. Furthermore, the company is gearing up for the release of the new BEV, “Prologue,” within the next few months, signaling Honda’s commitment to a diverse and innovative electric vehicle lineup.

Mamadou Diallo outlined the company’s vision for zero-emission vehicles, stating, “In 2024, we will begin selling three zero-emission vehicles, contributing to our goal of achieving 100% zero-emission vehicle sales by 2040 and ultimately realizing carbon neutrality by 2050. These initiatives mark our dedication to sustainable and environmentally friendly transportation solutions.” Honda’s upcoming releases showcase their commitment to innovation and align with global efforts to address climate change through the adoption of electric and fuel cell technologies.

new Toyotas PRIUS adopts novel wheels

Toyota, the pioneer in mass-produced hybrid vehicles with its iconic Prius, has introduced the world to its fifth-generation model after a comprehensive redesign. The spotlight, this time, is on the captivating design of the 17-inch wheel covers gracing this new iteration.

The renowned “mono-form silhouette” that characterized its predecessor is retained in the new Prius, but it has undergone a captivating evolution that harmonizes seamlessly with aesthetic sensibilities.

Underneath its sleek surface, the new Prius offers two distinct powertrain options. The cutting-edge hybrid system is partnered with a 1.8-liter engine, while an exciting addition to the lineup is a 2-liter hybrid variant.

This difference in engine displacement is reflected in the tire sizes as well. The 1.8-liter hybrid variant boasts 195/60R17 tires, whereas the 2-liter hybrid version flaunts larger 195/50R19 tires. The latter configuration is notable for its sporty disposition, creating a wide and low stance, propelled by the larger diameter wheels. Nevertheless, the wheel design of the 17-inch variant for the 1.8-liter model is an equally attention-grabbing feat.

Wheel covers, as seen in previous Prius models, continue to adorn the new iteration. However, Toyota has elevated the game with the innovative design of the extra-thick, 5-spoke wheel covers. These covers are characterized by an aerodynamic aesthetic, with the spoke shape and intricately carved grooves along the rim’s exterior. Notably, traditional wheel nuts are absent, further contributing to the sleek look. The wheel covers proudly bear the embossed “PRIUS” insignia, while also incorporating hollowed-out air valves, serving as a testament to the intricate craftsmanship involved.

Online reactions have been swift and intriguing. Enthusiasts have chimed in, expressing their appreciation for the fresh approach, noting that the absence of a logo adds to its unique charm. The design has been hailed as particularly appealing to those with a fascination for aerodynamics, showcasing Toyota’s dedication to blending form and function.

Considering the diverse user base of the entry-level 1.8-liter hybrid model, fuel efficiency takes precedence. With this in mind, Toyota is likely to incorporate wheel covers that not only exhibit advanced aesthetics but also contribute to enhanced fuel economy.

Moving up the ladder, the 2-liter hybrid variant, alongside the 2-liter plug-in hybrid version, opts for sporty-design aluminum wheels that forsake the wheel covers altogether.

Performance enthusiasts won’t be disappointed either. The new Prius doesn’t just shine in looks but also elevates its dynamic capabilities. The 1.8-liter hybrid boasts a sportier maximum system output of 140 horsepower, while the 2-liter hybrid takes it up a notch with an impressive 196 horsepower. With a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 7.5 seconds for the 2-liter hybrid, it’s safe to say that the Prius has embraced the exhilarating pace reminiscent of sports cars.

In essence, Toyota’s latest Prius offering manages to harmonize innovative design, fuel efficiency, and exhilarating performance, establishing itself as a true embodiment of automotive evolution.

When it comes to outdoor adventures, Suzuki’s latest offering is turning heads and sparking excitement. The brand-new “Canotier J3” roof tent, designed exclusively for Suzuki’s popular full-fledged four-wheel drive vehicles, the “Jimny” and its sibling “Jimny Sierra,” has taken the camping experience to new heights. Revealed by Kamado, an automotive maintenance and new car sales company located in Gotemba City, Shizuoka Prefecture, this tent opens up a world of possibilities for travelers and camping enthusiasts alike.

Picture this: Camping on the roof of your trusty “Jimny.” It sounds almost surreal, doesn’t it? Yet, with the ingeniously crafted Canotier J3, this fantasy becomes a reality. This revolutionary roof tent is purpose-built to seamlessly integrate with the Jimny’s distinct roof shape, providing a snug fit that is as aesthetically pleasing as it is functional.

When expanded, the Canotier J3 boasts dimensions of 2100 mm in length, 1120 mm in width, and 970 mm in height. These measurements ensure ample space for a comfortable stay while also maintaining the sleek profile of the Jimny.

Unlike traditional roof carriers that often introduce wind noise during high-speed drives and compromise the vehicle’s off-road capabilities due to increased center of gravity, the Canotier J3 has been meticulously designed by Mooncraft, a respected racing car design company based in the same city. This collaborative effort has resulted in a tent that not only complements the Jimny’s aesthetics but also enhances its performance, aligning seamlessly with the vehicle’s true off-road potential.

One of the standout features of the Canotier J3 is its user-friendly design. Thanks to a hydraulic damper and link mechanism, even a single person can effortlessly deploy the tent. Setting up camp has never been easier – a simple unlock is all it takes to transform your Jimny into a cozy sanctuary.

Concerned about space? The Jimny’s compact roof dimensions have been ingeniously utilized. The Canotier J3’s design includes a foldable rear end, allowing even taller individuals, up to 180cm in height, to stretch out comfortably while sleeping. The main structure of the tent is crafted from lightweight, weather-resistant, and durable FRA (fiberglass reinforced acrylic resin), ensuring longevity and performance. Meanwhile, the linkage mechanism is crafted from sturdy aluminum for added reliability.

As for the tent fabric, neoprene fabric – the same material used for wet suits – guarantees waterproofing, heat retention, and light shielding. This combination of functional materials ensures that occupants remain dry, warm, and shielded from unwanted light throughout their camping experience.

The Canotier J3 isn’t just a tent; it’s an investment in a new way of experiencing the great outdoors. Priced at 770,000 yen (including consumption tax and installation labor), this roof tent offers exceptional value for those seeking unparalleled camping adventures. To have the Canotier J3 installed, simply bring your vehicle to Kamado in Gotemba City and embark on a journey of comfort, convenience, and exploration like never before.
