The first-generation Prius was introduced in 1997, and this is the fifth generation of the Prius. Under the concept of “Hybrid Reborn,” the Prius has undergone a major facelift from the previous model, from the exterior to the functional aspects.
One of the most distinctive features of the new Prius is its more stylish proportions.
The body size of the new Prius is 4600 mm (length) x 1780 mm (width) x 1420-1430 mm (height), with a lower center of gravity than the previous model and a design that emphasizes sportiness.
Compared to the previous-generation Prius, the overall height has been reduced by 40 mm, while the overall length and width have been increased by 25 mm and 20 mm, respectively, and the seating positions (hip points) of front and rear occupants have been lowered to achieve an interior space that can accommodate a maximum of five passengers.
SRBI describes the interior space of the new Prius as follows.
Both the driver and front passenger seats are spacious, and the console box can hold small items, so I am satisfied with the interior space.
The rear seats are a little narrow for three adults.
However, I have no complaints about the spaciousness for a parent and four children, and there is plenty of leg room, so I am satisfied with the car.
Immediately after the world premiere in November 2022, some people were concerned that the interior space might be too small. However, users who have actually owned one have no major complaints about the interior space, and it can be said that this model is capable of everyday use while emphasizing sportiness.
The new Prius purchased by SRBI is a 2WD Z grade with black interior.
He applied for the car on December 22, 2022, signed the contract on January 13, 2023, and took delivery of the car on February 12, 2023.

I fell in love with the design of the new Prius, and after consulting with my wife and getting her approval, I decided to purchase the car.
Of course it looks cool, but I especially like the black exterior color.
As for the interior, I am satisfied with the high quality of the seats and the high seat sides, which give me the feeling of being wrapped up in a sports car, which is well worth the price.
As a point of concern, I feel that the 7-inch meter is a little difficult to see, and I would like to see it displayed a little larger.
I would like to see a larger display.

Daihatsu has revealed that there were irregularities in the certification process for the side collision test for its “Rocky” and Toyota’s “Raize” hybrid models, which Daihatsu supplies to Toyota as OEM, and a third-party committee will investigate the cause. The Hiace is a long-selling and popular 1BOX van that is used for all kinds of purposes as a commercial vehicle, but also enjoys great popularity among individual users who enjoy outdoor leisure activities and overnight stays in their cars.
The current 5th generation 200 series Hiace sold in Japan was launched in August 2004. It has already been 18 full years since its debut, and the next model is expected to be introduced, but in fact, a successor model to the Hiace already exists.
