According to the fuel efficiency ranking of passenger cars sold as of the end of 2021 released by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the most fuel-efficient regular/compact car was the Toyota Yaris, and the Suzuki Alto/Mazda Carol among mini cars.Every year, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism releases the Automobile Fuel Efficiency List, which evaluates the fuel efficiency of automobiles, as well as the ranking of the most fuel-efficient passenger cars.
