Honda Announces Price Increases for Six Models Effective July 27th

The price adjustments, ranging up to 120,000 yen, are set to take effect from late July. The N-WGN, a second-generation light tall wagon introduced in 2019, is equipped with Honda Sensing as standard and features a friendly design and advanced driving support. In the upcoming revision, the prices for each grade will be increased by 19,800 yen (including consumption tax), ranging from 1,317,800 yen to 1,722,600 yen. The “custom” model, which includes aero parts, will see a price increase of 35,200 yen.
Positioned as a basic model in the N series, the N-ONE offers a sporty “RS” grade with a charming design, turbo engine, and a 6-speed manual transmission. The revised prices for the N-ONE will range from 1,662,100 yen to 2,085,600 yen, representing a uniform increase of 62,700 yen across all grades.
The N-VAN, an N-series commercial van known for its impressive loading capacity that can be fully flattened from the luggage space to the front passenger seat, will undergo a price increase ranging from 61,600 yen to 86,900 yen, depending on the grade. This will result in new prices ranging from 1,337,600 yen to 1,959,100 yen.
Moving on to the ordinary car models, the Fit, Honda’s flagship compact car in its fourth generation since its release in 2020, offers four variations with distinct interior and exterior designs. The revised prices for the Fit will range from 1,624,700 yen to 2,718,100 yen, with price increases ranging from 31,900 yen to 70,400 yen. Additionally, the number of grades under 2 million yen will be reduced from six to four.
The Vezel, Honda’s popular crossover SUV and flagship model, is currently in its second generation, released in 2021. As part of the price revision, the prices for the Vezel will be uniformly increased by 119,900 yen, resulting in a new price range of 2,399,100 yen to 3,418,800 yen.
The Civic, a long-selling model that has been on the market since 1972 and now in its 11th generation, debuted in 2021 with a 5-door hatchback body type. The price revision for the Civic will lead to price increases ranging from 40,700 yen to 50,600 yen, changing the prices from 3,240,600 yen to 3,980,900 yen. How is the RS different from other grades?
Honda’s new Fit RS stands out for its sportiness
The RS is described in the press release as “”a type that focuses on design and driving quality,”” and features a wide-mouthed front bumper, side sill garnish, rear bumper, rear spoiler, and exclusively designed aluminum wheels. The Fit’s standard type (“”BASIC””) is a “”design with a running quality”” type.
The addition of a mesh grille is also a symbolic part of the RS’s styling, while the standard Fit models (“”Basic”” and “”Home””) are grille-less.
The interior is also exclusive to the RS, with coordinated suede seat upholstery, but even more distinctive is the steering wheel, which has a two-spoke design. While other grades have a two-spoke steering wheel, the RS has a three-spoke steering wheel with yellow stitching.

Compared to the other grades, the response of the other grades to steering wheel operation and the sense of roll while turning give the impression of “”light and nimble”” driving, whereas the RS has a more stable body and emphasizes a solid feel.
Also, when the accelerator pedal is depressed, shift-up control is activated, and even though the car is motor-driven except in the high-speed range (even in the high-speed range, mechanical step shifting is not used), the engine speed drops momentarily and the driver feels as if he or she is shifting up.
This is a mechanism that is also incorporated in the Civic e:HEV, which was introduced earlier, but it has nothing to do with efficiency and is intended to enhance drivability.
When the car is set to “”Sport,”” a driving mode exclusive to the RS, the accelerator pedal becomes more responsive, and the shifting control has been modified to emphasize the sense of shifting gears more.

On May 12, Mazda’s European division began accepting orders for the 2022 model year of Mazda MX-30, the automaker’s first production EV. It is designed to speed up the charging process.◆Around 200km range on a single charge.
The MX-30 will be equipped with e-SKYACTIV, a new generation of electrification technology. The system consists of a motor, battery pack, inverter, and DC-DC converter.
