LAND GEM, a Suzuki Jimny customized in the “Defender style,” is the talk of the town after being exhibited at the booth of a Mitsubishi Motors sales company. The car is based on Suzuki’s current Jimny and was inspired by Land Rover’s old “Defender” model. The exhibitor, Nishiohari Mitsubishi Motors Sales Co., Ltd. is a long-established dealership of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, and also manufactures and sells camping cars using mini cars and the Delica D:5.

Suzuki has released a 1/64 scale die-cast mini car modeled after the Jimny Sierra chocolate cake that was featured in a video celebrating the model’s 50th anniversary in 2020. The mini car has a playful design and even allows for the hood to be opened to reveal the engine. It is being sold by CAMSHOP for 1,980 yen, with pre-orders already available on the official website. The release is scheduled for early June. The Jimny series has been popular among fans since its first model was introduced in 1970, and a new 5-door model is set to be released in India in June 2023.
