Audi is currently developing a new full-electric crossover SUV, the Q6 e-tron, and for the first time the cameras of the scoop site Spyder7 have captured the interior of the latest prototype.
The prototype caught cannot be seen with the satin silver grille in its closed state. However, the shape of the corner air intakes can be seen, the two-stage split headlight design, and the wide air intakes under the bumper are clearly visible.
At the rear, part of the LED taillights are exposed, while slim strip lights are likely to be placed between them.
The interior is partially hidden by a cover, but a screen protruding from the dashboard can be seen. The e-tron GT and Q4 e-tron have infotainment screens in the dashboard, and while the possibility of differentiation cannot be ruled out, the thick bezel and other features suggest that this is not the final component. Also behind the steering wheel is an evolved digital instrument cluster.
The Q6 e-tron uses the “”PPE”” architecture. It will be shared with the upcoming Audi A6 e-tron sedan and the new-generation Porsche Macan EV. The body size will be similar to that of the ICE-equipped Q5, but thanks to the smart packaging offered by PPE, the interior is expected to be on the same level as the Q7, which is one class higher.
The EV specs are expected to be available in single-motor and dual-motor versions, with a total system output of 476 hp. There are also rumors of a more powerful model, the Q6 e-tron RS, which will hit a maximum output of 600ps and a maximum torque of 830Nm.
The Q6 e-tron is scheduled to be launched in 2023, and will have its world premiere by the end of 2022 as a higher-end model of the Q4 e-tron launched last April and a lower-end model of the “”e-tron”” (possibly renamed to Q8 e-tron).
The company plans to offer 20 EVs by 2025, and the Q6 e-tron will be one of them.”
