Subaru unveiled the Japanese specification prototype of the new “CROSSTREK” for the first time in the world on September 15, 2022. For the new third-generation model, the names “CROSSTREK” and “SUBARU XV”, which have been used differently depending on the market, have been unified into “CROSSTREK” globally. Starting with the introduction to the Japanese market (scheduled for 2023 or later), we plan to gradually introduce it to markets around the world.

A triple camera (stereo camera unit + wide-angle monocular camera) is used to improve performance. The angle of view of the new stereo camera unit has been greatly expanded to about twice that of the conventional model. The image recognition software and control software have been improved to enable recognition over a wider and farther range. In addition to changing to a windshield-mounted type, a lens hood was adopted to prevent accidental contact with the lens. The wide-angle monocular camera (a first for SUBARU in the Japanese market) has a wider angle than the new stereo camera and is capable of recognizing motorcycles and pedestrians when driving at low speeds. The range of situations that can be handled with the pre-crash brake has been expanded to achieve the best performance of all-time EyeSight.

    　The knob on the rear door of the Vezel is located at the top of the rear of the door near the C-pillar and is not easy to recognize at first glance.

    　Often used on compact models, this door knob was incorporated in the Vesel because the styling of the Vesel was intended to resemble a two-door coupe, and it is integrated into the stylish design.

    　Other comments about the new HR-V included, “”I am concerned about the fact that the base model is a ‘Civic.

    　The new HR-V is an SUV based on the 11th generation Civic, which was introduced in 2021. Honda describes the new HR-V as “”a manageable size that is spacious and practical enough to enjoy a variety of activities, yet nimble enough to drive around town.

    Honda enthusiasts in Malaysia are in for a treat as the highly anticipated new CR-V, described as a “”luxury sporty SUV,”” has officially hit the market. The launch took place on December 14, 2023, with Honda’s Malaysian subsidiary making the sleek and powerful SUV available for purchase. The initial release includes the 1.5-liter VTEC Turbo model, with a hybrid variant, the “”e:HEV RS,”” slated to join the lineup in early 2024.

    The CR-V has a rich history, debuting as a crossover SUV in 1995. Over the years, it has garnered widespread support globally, particularly in the United States. The latest iteration, the sixth-generation CR-V, was introduced in countries worldwide in July 2022, but as of December 2023, it has not yet been made available in Japan.

    The star of the show is the 1.5-liter VTEC Turbo engine, delivering a commanding maximum output of 193ps and an impressive maximum torque of 243Nm. Drivers can choose between front-wheel drive (FF) or the real-time all-wheel-drive (AWD) system for enhanced control and performance. The Vezel is Honda’s compact SUV, first introduced in 2013, and the current model was released in April 2021 with a focus on improving quality of life and providing additional experiential value. The Vezel Gear was created by N Lab., a group of Honda Access volunteers, and was designed to have “overwhelming presence as an SUV” and be a reliable tool.
