As for why they first decided to own a car, more than 40% of the senior/bubble generation responded “”longing to own a car,”” while about 50% of the millennial generation responded “”became necessary for commuting to school or work,”” the most common reason.
It seems that while the car was a longed-for possession until the Showa and early Heisei eras, many now have a car as a realistic means of transportation.
What kind of car did each generation yearn for when they were in their 20s? We asked each generation to name up to five cars, and the results were as follows.

The bubble generation also ranked the “”Skyline”” in first place. A close second was the “”Soarer,”” which was introduced in the 1980s and gained popularity as a high-sophisticated car.
KINTO’s analysis suggests that the millennial generation may be the generation that has come to feel that imported cars are becoming more and more familiar to them, even as a variety of cars are being introduced by domestic manufacturers.

Toyota’s luxury minivan, the Alphard/Vellfire, is rumored to be undergoing a full model change soon, as it has been eight years since its current model was released. While there has been no official announcement, it is expected to happen soon. However, there are concerns about the future of the Vellfire, its sibling car. In 2017, both the Alphard and Vellfire received a major design change during a minor change. However, its popularity declined after the 2017 design change.
Toyota will unveil the new C-HR for the first time in the world
Toyota will unveil the new “C-HR” for the first time in the world, with a full refresh after seven years and the introduction of the second generation! Will it adopt the first “red TOYOTA emblem”? To be announced on June 26th. Toyota Europe announced that it will unveil the new “C-HR” for the first time in the world on June 26, 2023 (local time), and released a teaser image that shows part of the tail. The concept car, which is said to be the next model of the C-HR, was unveiled in December 2022, but there seem to be differences between the concept car and the actual car. The C-HR is a compact crossover SUV that was first released in December 2016. The design is based on the “C-HR Concept” that was first unveiled at the Paris Motor Show held in 2014, and although some changes have been made, basic design elements such as coupe styling and a dynamic side line remain unchanged. The design theme is “Sensual Speed Cross” and features a body that is strongly focused on the diamond motif, a rugged SUV suspension, and a design that exudes speed. In addition, the interior expresses an adult-like, high-quality atmosphere by using soft padding and metallic ornaments. It also features excellent handling stability due to the adoption of the TNGA platform, and in the 2019 minor change, an MT car was added, and a “GR SPORT” model developed by TOYOTA GAZOO Racing was also set, highlighting its high driving performance.
