The new XTRAIL, now in its fourth generation, inherits the “”tough gear”” DNA from the first generation model, while adding a new “”quality”” to it.
The exterior design is particularly impressive, especially the front face, with an evolved V-motion grille and split headlights that give it an increased presence.
Another feature of the new XTRAIL is its driving performance.
It is equipped with “”e-4ORCE,”” a technology that meticulously optimizes control of the driving force of all four wheels by controlling the front and rear motors and brakes, and the second-generation “”e-POWER,”” which has evolved in terms of power, smoothness, and quietness through the renewal of the motor and inverter.

The combination of “”next-generation e-POWER x VC Turbo x e-4ORCE”” is the world’s first use of the new XTRAIL for Japan.
The new XTRAIL, which has evolved significantly from the previous model in terms of functionality and safety, is said to be so popular that orders have already exceeded 12,000 units in the first two weeks of sales.

We interviewed Mr. Konsuke58 (@w6JPdUrPKR5rR1d), who took delivery of his new Extrail. He explains how he came to purchase the car as follows.
I was considering buying a car and wanted to drive a hybrid SUV, so I was looking at three models: the Extrail, RAV4, and Harrier.
However, I decided on the xtrail because of the delivery date and the car inspection.
I had not test-driven any of the other e-POWER vehicles, such as the Note and Aura, because I had driven them in the past and found them to be very comfortable to drive, so I decided to purchase the xtrail without a test drive.
The new xtrail that Mr. Konsuke58 purchased was a G grade model with e-4 ORCE drive system, and he received the car in about one month.
He says that he received the car about a month after purchasing it.
My first impression is that it is quiet and accelerates smoothly.
The acceleration from low speeds is very sharp and responsive, and the e-4ORCE runs smoothly even when entering curves at a moderate speed.
Fuel economy is not bad, and I felt that it is a car with high overall performance.
The interior quality is decent, and I think the exterior design is to different tastes, but the 19-inch wheels on the G grade are really cool.

The first-generation Prius was introduced in 1997, and this is the fifth generation of the Prius. Under the concept of “Hybrid Reborn,” the Prius has undergone a major facelift from the previous model, from the exterior to the functional aspects.
One of the most distinctive features of the new Prius is its more stylish proportions.
The body size of the new Prius is 4600 mm (length) x 1780 mm (width) x 1420-1430 mm (height), with a lower center of gravity than the previous model and a design that emphasizes sportiness.
Compared to the previous-generation Prius, the overall height has been reduced by 40 mm, while the overall length and width have been increased by 25 mm and 20 mm, respectively, and the seating positions (hip points) of front and rear occupants have been lowered to achieve an interior space that can accommodate a maximum of five passengers.
SRBI describes the interior space of the new Prius as follows.
Both the driver and front passenger seats are spacious, and the console box can hold small items, so I am satisfied with the interior space.
The rear seats are a little narrow for three adults.
However, I have no complaints about the spaciousness for a parent and four children, and there is plenty of leg room, so I am satisfied with the car.
Immediately after the world premiere in November 2022, some people were concerned that the interior space might be too small. However, users who have actually owned one have no major complaints about the interior space, and it can be said that this model is capable of everyday use while emphasizing sportiness.
The new Prius purchased by SRBI is a 2WD Z grade with black interior.
He applied for the car on December 22, 2022, signed the contract on January 13, 2023, and took delivery of the car on February 12, 2023.
In addition to this, SRBI also shared his impressions after the delivery of the car as follows.
I fell in love with the design of the new Prius, and after consulting with my wife and getting her approval, I decided to purchase the car.
Of course it looks cool, but I especially like the black exterior color.
As for the interior, I am satisfied with the high quality of the seats and the high seat sides, which give me the feeling of being wrapped up in a sports car, which is well worth the price.
As a point of concern, I feel that the 7-inch meter is a little difficult to see, and I would like to see it displayed a little larger.
I would like to see a larger display.
